Who we are.

  • Amy Brett - OWNER

    Amy has been involved in youth football for the past 13 years Starting as a parent and then spending 7 years as Club Secretary for this club (under its previous name of Hastings Wanderers).

    During that time she held many roles including secretary, assistant welfare officer, registration officer and committee leader.

    Amy’s favourite role is as a parent watching all three of her boys on their football journey and seeing them develop their skills while having fun.

    The part of Youth Football Amy loves the most is the family it gives you and the lifelong friends that are made.

    Amy is brave enough to be a lifelong Wimbledon fan in a household of Arsenal supporters which can be a challenge.

    She is very excited to be part of this new venture and cannot wait to make some more great memories.

  • JACKIE - OWNER and U11 MANAGER

    Favourite team: Moenchengladbach

    Favourite Player: Mats Hummels

    Jackie found football relatively late in life when her daughter started playing at the age of 6. In her previous life she could be seen treading the boards for local theatre companies but now understands why football is the most popular sport in the world. She is considered the Mary Poppins of the club being known to use ‘splendid’ way too often on a sideline.

    Born in Germany she has never mentioned how often they’ve won the World Cup.

  • James - U9 MANAGER

    Favourite Player: Van Der Sar

    James plays as Goal Keeper for Battle Town 1st Team.

    When not on the pitch as either a coach or manager, James likes chiling out and playing Minecraft with his two kids

  • AARON - U9 COACH

    Favourite Team: Manchester United

    Favourite Player: Garnacho

    Likes: football, fishing, tattoos and sleep.

    Dislikes: Spiders and bad Britsih weather

    Aaron prides himself on working hard and helping others reach their full potential. He love travelling and is a coffee connisseur,

  • ROB - UNDER 11 COACH

    Rob is a recent convert to football having played cricket both here and abroad and being.selected to play for the Army Cricket team. With both his boys on the U11 team he is beginning to appreciate football from a whole new perspective and is loving watching the team develop and grow.

  • CHRIS - UNDER 11 COACH

    Favourite player: Robert Pires

    Chris has recently joined the coaching staff having watched his son play since he was 7.

    He has played football for the last 23 years, has played for local teams and can be seen playing for Hooe Vets on occasion.

    His experience is invaluable in helping support and develop our players

  • GARY - U15 Manager

    Gary lives, breathes and sleeps sports. When he's not devoting his time to 1066 Lions, he is playing or watching sports.He loves seeing the difference football and the right approach to it can make in a young person's life and sees coaching as a great opportunity to not only help players on their football journey but to guide them in the right direction as they become young adults
